#Voices: Does Religious Studies Have a Future?

04 October 2023

In our new series "#Voices" we ask people to reflect on questions related to our work building a research infrastructure for Religious Studies. Here you can listen to voices on the Ninth International Colloquium on Old Bulgarian Studies, which was held at the end of August in University of Sofia, Bulgaria.

Francesco Braschi (Ambrosian Library): “Today, just what we are facing, just the misleading religious interpretation of conflicts and wars in Europe leads us to say loudly that we do need to deepen Religious Studies  in order to acknowledge which is the reality about Christianism.”

More answers to the question “Does Religious Studies have a future?” are given by Mark Geller (University College of London) and Marcello Garzaniti (University of Florence) in this video:

The Ninth International Colloquium on Old Bulgarian Studies (August 31-September 2, 2023) was organized by RESILIENCE Consortium Partner University of Sofia and attended by scholars from all over the world from the research fields as Old Bulgarian Studies, Theology, Philology etc.
