For Lilly Stammler, archivist at the Centre for Slavo-Byzantine Studies “Prof. Ivan Dujčev” in Sofia, digitization of old manuscripts is important for two reasons: to make the collections available to more scholars, and in the same time to protect them.
During our recent visit to the center, we spoke to Lilly Stammler and asked her about the digitized collections, how they is used and what advice she has for RESILIENCE.
Lilly gave us insight into her work and the importance of digitization, and ended the interview with an invitation to scholars to make use of the collection and to come to the center.
