In a project like RESILIENCE generating impact, being all the changes which are expected to happen due to the implementation and application of the research infrastructure and its activities, is key. An in-person workshop in Palermo was organized by the University of Sarajevo, aiming at contributing to the Impact Assessment Plan.
The main purpose of Impact Assessment (IA) for RESILIENCE RI is to identify, describe and evaluate the effects of the resources and activities offered through the RESILIENCE services by connecting the outputs and outcomes as key performance indicators with lasting structural changes manifested in scientific, teaching, human resources, economic, communal and policy development.
A first version of RESILIENCE impact model was presented, showing the process from services via outputs and outcome leading to impact via three different pathways to impact on four different areas, thus and in the end reaching the research infrastructure’s goals.
The workshop, led by Jelena Brkić Šmigoc and Dzenana Husremovic of the University of Sarajevo, was meant to collect input and advices from the RESILIENCE team members for the proposed outputs and outcomes necessary for showcasing that RESILIENCE is achieving the desired impact. The team members discussed the proposals, and will even continue after the in-person workshop, adding their comments to all the proposals.
