FSCIRE organises training and refresher courses for teachers on the themes of pluralism and historical-religious knowledge.
In today’s intercultural and multi-religious society, developing historical-religious skills is closely linked to citizenship education, fostering coexistence that respects others in their beliefs and non-beliefs, and promoting interreligious dialogue as “dialoguing dialogue”. It also raises awareness of the limitations of ethnocentrism that still persist within the Italian educational system.
The FSCIRE training courses, as an accredited training institution, are recognised by MIUR.

The project team is preparing around 10,000 appeals for help from Jewish people to Pius XII and the corresponding Vatican correspondence in a digital edition for the public. The unique corpus of sources also offers a new and unique didactic perspective: Even during the academic research process, pupils can use the teaching material to discover, work on and compare a wide variety of biographies of persecuted people in the times of totalitarianism, world war and the Shoah using the letters of petition. Through the biographical vignettes that can be derived from the material, the lives and fates of Jews emerge vividly and tangibly, reflecting a broad spectrum of Judaism in Europe at the time. In the teaching sequences, the large-scale methodical form of learning to remember is thus combined with new elements of biographical learning. This complements and further develops the concerns of education on the Holocaust.

This platform offers a variety of tools for study—liturgical guides, theological texts, practical action plans—all designed to help churches and believers embody an eco-ethic of care, reverence, and renewal.
