ESFRI Proposal Deadline Postponed Due to COVID-19

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the deadline for proposals to the ESFRI Roadmap 2021 has been extended to September 9 2020.

ESFRI Extends Proposal Deadline Due to COVID-19

The public health crisis caused by the outbreak of COVID-19 has seen a massive impact on our daily lives. This includes the ability of research organizations to effectively collaborate across countries. For this reason ESFRI has decided to extend all deadlines for presentations of proposals for research infrastructure projects for the Roadmap 2021. ESFRI made this decision in order to allow the applicants more time for the preparation of their applications. The new deadline is September 9 2020.

“We need to assure fair treatment of all research infrastructures in proposal submission to the ESFRI Roadmap update 2021, even under the pandemic outbreak of Covid-19 influencing our daily lives and working conditions” says Jan Hrušák.

They ensure that the extension will not influence the plan to present the new ESFRI Roadmap in autumn 2021. They are currently working on an adjusted timeline of the 2021 Roadmap milestones along with adjusted information relevant to national procedures.

What Will This Mean for RESILIENCE?

This means that we will delay the submission of our application to the ESFRI Roadmap. And we will keep improving our proposal until September.

As this is an evolving situation, we will keep you posted with any developments in this matter.
