RESILIENCE Welcomes Three New Observers

Three new observers joined the RESILIENCE consortium: the University of Tilburg, the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and "Saint Epiphanios" Cultural Academy - Institute of Studies, Research and Culture in Cyprus.

Both the University of Tilburg and the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam are renowned for their tradition in Religious Studies and their important digital and physical sources.

The joining of Saint Epiphanios” Cultural Academy – Institute of Studies, Research and Culture ensures representation of RESILIENCE in Cyprus and the wider region of the Eastern Mediterranean, allowing the use of the knowledge available on the study and promotion in these regions.

There had been contacts with the these partners for some time, which led to agreements indicating their willingness to become an observer. These agreements were now confirmed by RESILIENCE’s General Assembly.

Enlargement

Because the research infrastructure is on its way to becoming an ERIC (European Research Infrastructure Consortium), the enlargement of the consortium is important for RESILIENCE. It allows the research infrastructure to be represented in more countries or to be strengthened in several countries.

Observer Status

Obtaining the observer status means among others that partners can participate in carrying out tasks required in this phase and contribute to RESILIENCE’s development by providing expertise in the field of Religious Studies and services such as library and archival resources and/or relevant technology.
